Oliver Glasner says that their defender “is suffering from a bone injury, he’s on support and he can’t so much as walk. Currently it appears he will not feature for England next week either.”

Anthony Gordon is carrying an injury so is absent for Newcastle, the replacement, who has been playing well, steps into the lineup.
