Kane marks his century goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has declared that his desire in coming back to the Premier League has faded and he is open to discuss a new contract with Bayern Munich.
The prolific striker is at the moment two years through the four-year deal he inked when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the offseason of 2023.
The experienced forward has scored an impressive 103 goals in 106 games for the German side, playing a key role in them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which was the initial significant achievement of his distinguished career.
Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has recently mentioned that he would like to see Kane return to England, where he requires 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring record of 260.
However, the England leader has now suggested that he is no longer as keen about returning home as he once was, and would definitely contemplate extending his stay in Bavaria.
"In terms of extending longer, I could definitely see that," he commented.
"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be prepared to talk and have an frank conversation.
"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so unfolds and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not focusing about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had asked me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have learned in my career is that different options and different periods happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."
Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the historic top marksman for both Tottenham and England and recently became the speediest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five competitions, securing the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a title had avoided him until he secured the German title last season.
Kane states that he was not sure how he would respond after breaking his trophy barren spell, but now thinks it has made him motivated for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.
"But it's given me more inspiration to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
