I will stamp all over 'serious fighter' Paul - Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
Briton Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to promote next month's bout.
Former twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
Still, the novice is still one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, consistently making substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers participated in the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really proceeding.
